The Artist

Rafterburn is a body of work built on tension—between light and shadow, structure and erosion, control and collapse. Each piece operates as a relic: a weighted presence designed not to decorate a space, but to anchor it. Rooted in a chiaroscuro approach, the work draws from both historical and modern environments, forming a universe shaped by Cavalerian discipline and guarded thresholds.

Patrick Olfert is a Sioux Falls–based artist developing Rafterburn as both a visual system and narrative world. Each original relic acts as an entry point—designed for interiors that value restraint, contrast, and psychological weight, while offering a quiet departure from the static and the expected.
